Massage Relief for Thai
Drivers
|
Date: 03 Jan

Weary drivers will soon enjoy some
breathing space from the hard traffic problems in bustling Bangkok'
roads after Thailand's Health Ministry approved a scheme to provide
massage booths at petrol station in Bangkok.
With 200 Baht, motorists will be
able to select an hour-long full body message service while 150 Baht
will get an hour's foot massage.
Hereby, drivers will be more kept
awake than having drinks containing caffeine because they can fall
asleep for an hour during the message, making them more relaxed and
stop them from feeling tried when they get back to drive. If
successful, the scheme will be introduced across the country in
order to reduce the number of road deaths caused by over-tried
drivers.
The announcement of the initiative
comes as Thailand's death toll for the New Year's festive period on
the roads rose to 514; a further 29,485 people were injured in
accidents, a rate of 218 injuries an hour.
