Vatican picks Thai venue

Thailand has been selected by the
Vatican as a site for holding the "Sixth World Conference on
the Pastoral Care of Tourism" next year. Some 200 bishops from
around the globe will participate in the conference to be held in
Ban Phu Wan, Sampran District of Nakhon Pathom, during July 5-8. The
theme of the conference will be "Tourism Aimed at Bringing
Peoples Together"
The conference took place every
five years; the last conference was held in Turkey. Thailand is the
second venue in Asia for such conference.
The conference is organized by
Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants ad Itinerant
People, Vatican, to focus on tourism which can create good
understanding among people around the world.
